Kenya Vacation - Part 1

Noah had to keep a journal on vacation for school...

Which means Christine has to help him put his journal together... but I'm suggesting we just send his teacher the link to this blog... since that's what all preschoolers will be doing in 2015... thier own blogs of course... I'm not offering to do every preschoolers homework...

Noah loved Kenya... he has his mom's love for the ocean and was fascinated by all the animals...

Christine and I were also surprised to see how eager he was to ride a camel and touch the snakes at the snake farm...

The camel never appeared when we had money in our pockets so maybe next time... but we found hundreds of snakes at some farm 2 miles away from the resort... they had hundreds of different boa-spitting-python type snakes... all in cages... but the nice ones came out for the boys to touch...

Seriously the Indian Ocean put Avila Beach to shame... even though I haven't been there since the oil spill...

The water was like a nice warm bath... with salt too for those of you into that type of bath...

And each morning during low tide the beach turned into miles of tide pools with crabs, eels and other fish like creatures that Noah and Kadin could feed sausages and there tiny toes to...

If we let him Noah probably would have spent the entire day in the pool or the ocean but with my 9-5 office tan and the blazing heat we convinced him to play on the playground, visit the turtles, feed bread to the fish in ponds around the resort and occasionally stop to eat...

Noah enjoyed taking the 2 short flights to Mombasa, Kenya and was a good sport on the 2 hour taxi ride to the beach... It was a small warm-up for our 4 flights and 40 hours of travel to Fort Myers, Florida in January... although I am now regretting telling Christine that I would be fine flying by myself with the boys since she is going early for an ag internship...

Overall, Miss Luwande (Noah's teacher)... Noah had a great time and deserves an A on this project... even though I think it was due on Monday!
