Huge News for GBI!

Next Monday and Tuesday the Ugandan National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) is coming to inspect GBI...

Maybe not what you were expecting when I said... HUGE NEWS... but it really is...

When we pass the inspection we will become a registered private tertiary institution... which in plain english means... we will be one of the top 8 religious colleges and universities in the entire country...

The benefits of this national recognition are many..

1) The government will recognize and affirm our high standard of education at GBI...

2) The publications for the NCHE will recognize and report the progress of GBI...

3) It separates us from the hundreds of institutes around the country which on the surface don't look much different...

4) If prevents the government from shutting us down... which they have the right to do to any un-registered school...

5) It provides a "status" which will help our graduates to receive better jobs...

6) The newfound "status" will also greatly benefit our recruiting efforts for new students...

7) It is a huge morale boost to the staff and myself who have worked over a year to put the 50 page report together and to raise the $2000 inspection fee...

8) It will encourage the donors who have seen the progress of the students to also see the progress of the school...

So please keep GBI in your prayers this week as we prepare for the inspection... my mind is already racing... there are more reports to write... files to organize... meetings to arrange... key staff, students and donors to inform... as well as a school that is still running!
