The first 90%...

It's been a great week sharing the story of Gaba Bible Institute... over and over I am reminded... often while telling the story... of God's great provision before this campus development fundraising ever began...

As the school grew from 35 to 105 students in 2 years we quickly realized that our campus... a two-storied house... would not last long as a permanent facility for the school... then when the accrediting team for the National Council for Higher Education came through we were told that with some MAJOR improvements the school could be approved for 65 students...

Beginning in 2007 we started looking for land to build a campus in Gaba... but it does not come cheap...

The president of Uganda built a home for his wife and a 5 star resort in within 2 miles of Gaba Community Church along with the nicest roads in the country which sent land prices through the roof... making it impossible to buy 3-5 acres and developing a campus for less than 1 MILLION US DOLLARS...

But in April everything changed... Gaba Bible Institute was given a 3 acre school campus that could accommodate 250 students for FREE...

A team of engineers came through for a site survey and came up with a budget for $100,000 to bring that facility up to codes set forth by the National Council for Higher Education...

All told we saved $900,000 for a beautiful 3 acre lake front property... God put down the first 90% on our campus development project...

So far after the first 5 fund raising events for GBI we have collected $10,000... with each event the enthusiasm for GBI continues to grow... leaving me convinced that this project will be completed...

Thanks to all who have participated so far!
