Rabbit training

GBI students have started their rabbit training. We started with butchering rabbits. They got to taste the fruits of their labor that week and I was told by many students that they loved the rabbit. Thanks to Esther Project for helping complete the butchering room!

The past month has been busy at the rabbit barn. About a hundred people toured the rabbits on grand opening day. I have had about 2 dozen farmers from all around Kampala visit. The Makerere University's 4th year Veterinary students had a one hour tour/seminar. This week Kadin's kindergarten class is coming for a farm morning. I have heard from the prison farm manager that he wants to start a rabbit project at one of the prisons outside Kampala. Several Makerere Veterinary Medicine professors are set to visit this month as well. Word keeps spreading.
