Goodbye Gimpy Goat

When we read Dr. Seuss books Kadin doesn't think they are silly... he thinks they are inspiring!

After reading the Cat in the Hat he'll talk about the large animals he'll have in his house... after reading If I Ran the Zoo he'll talk about how he would run his zoo...
And why won't he?

Many days we do live in a zoo... we have had rabbits, chicken, goats, cows, dogs, turtles and lizards living in and outside of our house... but lately it has been more of an animal hospital...

Gimpy the Goat's legs stopped working 15 days ago... so the logical thing to do (at least around our home) was to move it inside our house so it could receive round the clock medical care... bottle feedings night and day... along with mid-afternoon traction to hopefully get its legs working again...

Don't be alarmed... this goat is not headless...but hiding its head is a great Halloween trick...

Unfortunately Christine's heroic efforts were not enough to save this little goat... and our little friend went to an eternal resting home for little goats... hopefully dancing somewhere in a glorious field of grass somewhere...

Goodbye old friend!
