5th ARCC Graduation... and more...

To say it was a busy week is a bit of an understatement... it was the first week of students reporting for the new school year... it was our annual Spiritual Retreat for the students... add in Orientation...

And then to top it all off we had our 5th Graduation Ceremony on Friday with 52 graduates and installed our first Chancellor over the school... what a week!

It was a joy to be part of the installation for Pastor Peter Kasirivu... over the last 5 years I have continually been amazed by his faith and humility... many men talk about doing great things for God but Peter is one of those  rare men who has faithfully served in the same place 26 years and seen God transform poor fishing village filled with witchcraft turn into a dynamic Christian community... he is respected and seen as a spiritual father to thousands and his vision continues to drive the development of ARCC...

And he wasn't the only one wearing a technicolor dreamcoat on Friday... we have the colonials to thank for this... although many of their traditions are no longer practiced in the UK they have managed to continue to drive the fashion of such events...

The service itself was great... we had a great message from Pastor Simon Peter Emiau who overseers the Evangelical Fellowship of Uganda... and my favorite part of each graduation is when the graduates kneel at the end of the service and are surrounded by all the pastors in the congregation for a time of commissioning and prayer as they are sent out! We can't wait to see how God uses the class of '12!
